Do It Anyway

Bismillah..

Lately, I have been doing some really serious thinking, and came up with various ideas on life. And, this is one of them (which I accidently found on the Net - I don't remember which site. However, credits to the genius philosopher whom brought this topic up). Occasionally we (this especially goes to moi) may feel that it is a waste of time and energy to act with integrity, compassion, and concern for all. Especially when our efforts don't seem appreciated. When rejected, we may be reluctant to try again even though everything in our souls cries out for us to move forward.

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It never was between you and them anyway.

So, people, just keep moving toward your goals with integrity and compassion. When confronted with resistance, smile and do it anyway. Okay?
